Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef

Hi guys! We are in Australia! Ok getting my bag stolen did put a pause in our traveling but it did not stop it! Once we arrived in cairns CBD ( central business district) we found a motel run by a little italian women. We then went in to the center to find somewhere to dive the great barrier reef! After walking around town for a bit and replacing my personal stuff that was stolen. We made a choice to go for more then one day. This ment we could sleep on the great barrier reef! We wanted to go for two days but got a better deal with two nights 3 days with the dive copany CDC on the kangaroo explorer. We got picked up on Tuesday morning at 6:45 from the motel and were brought to the dive shop where they asked for our dive licenses. Mine was in my bag,  which was stolen!
Not a problem they could look it up on the Internet. My name was not found. Not a problem  if your instructor signed it in your log book. Which he did not. Opps I had to dive my ten dives with an instructor for +110a$ oh well, it was worth it we only had to pay for me and Manfred came for free! With our guide (Andreas) we could touch stuff, scratch turtles back swim with the sharks do a boat dive, through swim throughs and dive at night! So well worth it thank you Andreas! So if you go to austraila a must is the great barrier reef! We got in to do our first dive at 1 pm, it was cool but nothing on how you would expect the GREAT barrier reef to be like. We then moved to an other site called fishbowl on Briggs reef. Here you had a wall, if you know the movie " finding nemo" the wall was exactly like this you started of on coral beautiful coral with tons of fish and swam over to the wall and saw only blue, blue blue blue! And looked back coral and fish fish fish it was breath taking if you were allowed to stop breathing but your not so a big breath instead! From here you look to see what fishes you can find.

!!!All of the stuff that was touched was under the supervision of a guide master so if you dont want to die don't touch anything unless you have a guide!!!
1 st dive: we held sea cucumber and a starfish
2nd dive: great dive scratched a turtles shell which it like :-) (a diving highlight!) Manfred saw a shark, I did not :(
3rd dive: first night dive saw a lionfish, white tipped reef shark, upside down jelly fish and two green turtles! (never miss the chance to do a night dive!!)
4th dive: at 6am the morning dive  beautiful saw an octopus and anemone clown fish (or better known as nemo! And a chocolate dipped damselfish. and a
Lobster
5th dive: uni.... Slugs of the sea, Amazing colors.
6th changed dive sites to 360 briggs reef here we had an amazing wall an tons of clown fish!
7th dive: scary and amazing night dive! The sharks were out on this one even before we got in the water they were hunting with the light from the boat! And we jumped in! Also a stingray, zebra eel, pufferfish, two turtle one sleeping, clown fish, octopus and a big white tipped reef shark about 1 1/2 meters long and about 4 meters away! Very f***ing close!
8th lionfish and octopus
9th swimthroughs and a tunnel! Awsome only advance are allow to do that but our guide thought it would be no problem with us!! Very cool
10th a boat drop to a far away reef just Manfred and I (with the guide) found a family of nemos and black anemone fish. And once we were done we were pulled by the little boat to the big boat!!

If you ever though it would be fun to breath underwater you should try scuba it is a completely different world you can't help but be in the moment! Thanks to the team on the Kangaroo Explorer for make a great dive experience  for us!

Have fun!
